Maisie Williams: Sex Scene In ‘The Falling’ Was ‘Extremely Awkward’

Actress Maisie Williams talked about her sex scene in The Falling, and just how awkward it was!

According to Daily Mail, 18-year-old Maisie Williams had her very first on-screen sex scene in the film with actor Joe Cole. In a recent interview, Williams talked about the experience, and how she got to know Cole before the two were forced to have romantic chemistry with cameras nearby.

“It was extremely awkward! But [co-star] Joe [Cole] was very sensitive to the fact that I had never done a scene like this before, and it was great to work with someone who was so considerate of that. We went out for a couple of lunches and stuff just to get to know each other, and we had days of rehearsal where we’d get to know our characters and spend a couple of hours with each other. So I knew him quite well, and we got along quite well. It all paid off in the end.”

Maisie Williams’ sex scene in The Falling could be the first of many to come. As she signs on to do more projects, she may be faced with doing more uncomfortable scenes, but it will likely get easier for her as time goes on. And while Williams has a major role on HBO’s Game Of Thrones, her character hasn’t been having sex of any kind on the show. Sure, she murdered a guy by stabbing his eyes out, but she is technically playing the role of a teenager.

“Williams may be a major player on ‘Game of Thrones,’ a show up to its bosom in gratuitous sex scenes, but Arya’s storyline is more about stabbing as many of her enemies as possible. So even though the Bristol-born actress was more experienced than most of her on-screen classmates, she still needed a crash course in fake sex ed,” reports the New York Daily News.

Believe it or not, Maisie Williams’ sex scene in The Falling isn’t what has most people talking. Game Of Thrones spoilers have hit the internet over the past few weeks, and Williams herself actually revealed something pretty major about her character, Arya Stark.
