Constantine Maroulis Arrested Again For Violating Restraining Order

Constantine Maroulis has been arrested again after violating a restraining order.

According to Billboard, reported via MSN, the American Idol alum was arrested again on Sunday, August 16 after he “accidentally” violated his restraining order.

Maroulis’ rep said he accidentally sent an email to his ex-girlfriend Angel Reed. He said the email was not personal, and was not meant for her to receive. However, having any contact with Reed, who is also the mother of 4 and a half-year-old daughter Malena, is a violation of the order.

“He accidentally emailed her which broke the restraining order and he was arrested and immediately released,” the rep said. “It was not a personal email — it was a pure accident.”

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Constantine was previously arrested on Wednesday, August 12 following a domestic violence dispute in Wyckoff, New Jersey. Despite his arrest, Maroulis’ rep claimed he wasn’t the aggressor

“He has injuries on his upper thigh. He was trying to be a nice guy because he is the father of their child and he became the victim,” his rep said at the time. While referencing a recording Constantine took while during the dispute, his rep said he could be heard saying, “I want to break up with you, don’t hit me, leave me alone, don’t touch me,” as Reed continuously hit him and threw objects at him.

“People who know him and know the situation have been incredibly supportive,” Constantine’s rep said, according to People Magazine. “During the course of the attack she hit him with her fists and threw numerous objects at him. He sustained a bruise and cut on his right thigh,” he explained in a statement. “He consequently left their home to protect himself and to diffuse the situation.”

Maroulis also filed a restraining order against Reed, who he started dating in 2009 while working on his Broadway show Rock of Ages, after suffering injuries from the altercation.

Constantine’s latest arrest came after he cc’d Reed and sent an email to her that was meant to go to his lawyer. The email detailed the events that took place on the night of the original dispute. He was arrested, and later released on bail.

Constantine Maroulis came in sixth place in American Idol’s fourth season, the year Carrie Underwood became the nation’s American Idol.
