Erika Jayne Money Trouble: Is ‘RHOBH’ Star Facing Financial Problems?

Erika Jayne, the newest addition to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, and her husband, Tom Girardi, reportedly owe millions in back taxes. According to an August 17 report by Radar Online, Erika Jayne and her 76-year-old attorney husband have faced a number of tax liens in recent years.

“The IRS filed multiple liens against the couple for unpaid taxes beginning in 2000,” Radar Online reported of Erika Jayne and her husband. “Outstanding taxes in 2000 were $1.3 million; in 2001, $2.98 million; in 2002, $2.98 million; and in 2008, $3.2 million.”

The site also claimed the California State Franchise Tax Board filed tax liens against Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi “in 2002 for $990,000, and in 2008 for $1.3 million.”

In the years since the tax liens were filed, Erika Jayne and her husband have paid their debt in full, and the liens have been released.

As the Inquisitr previously reported, Erika Jayne was added to the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills weeks ago, reportedly filling the shoes of axed cast member Kim Richards, who has been struggling with her sobriety in recent months.

While Richards has claimed Bravo producers did contact her about returning to the reality series for Season 6, a Radar Online source alleged she was lying.

“No one here asked Kim Richards to come back on the show. That is false. Producers were done with Kim during her last relapse when she flat-out lied to them by telling them that she had not relapsed when she actually had … No one wants to work with someone like that. You cannot bite the hand that feeds you and that is exactly what she did. She lied to everyone and no one buys a thing she says anymore.”

As for how Erika Jayne was discovered for the series, Us Weekly reported she was introduced to the women by her friend, Yolanda Foster, who has been a part of the cast since Season 3. However, while Erika Jayne will reportedly be featured in a full-time role, and has already begun filming Season 6, it is unclear whether or not Foster will be seen at all. Because of her Lyme disease struggles, many have believed she will be leaving the show to concentrate on her health. Still, there is a chance she could return to Bravo part-time.
