Break out your light saber: Today, May 4, is known as Star Wars Day. The reason all comes down to a simple word play based on one of the movies’ most famous lines. Given the date, it’s a perfect occasion to say: “May the fourth be with you.”

Star Wars Day isn’t an official holiday, but that doesn’t stop fans worldwide from using it as a time to celebrate. Movie marathons and character meetups are commonplace.

In honor of Star Wars Day 2009, we thought we’d turn to the 3-year-old whose explanation of the films made her a viral video sensation in ’08. Behold: “Star Wars…according to a 3-year-old.” May the fourth be with you.
