Disney Conspiracy Theory: ‘Frozen’ Director Reveals Anna And Elsa’s Connection With Tarzan

Fans of Disney’s Frozen have long speculated a secret tie between Anna and Elsa and other popular Disney movies. One conspiracy theory claimed that the King and Queen of Arendelle didn’t actually die at sea, as was speculated in the movie. Instead, it was noted that the pair could have survived the wreck. The theory goes on to link the family to another well-known Disney character, Tarzan. It appears that at least the co-director of Frozen, Chris Buck, is backing up the strange connection claiming that Frozen and Tarzan could be linked.

Chris Buck, co-director of Frozen, sat down for an AMA on Reddit and blew the minds of Disney fans everywhere when he implied that Anna and Elsa may be related to the King of the Jungle, Tarzan. During the AMA, Buck was asked about some Disney conspiracy theories involving the Little Mermaid, Tangled, and Tarzan. Buck debunked the idea that Frozen had any relation to Tangled or the Little Mermaid, but did imply that there could be a connection with Tarzan.

During the questioning Buck noted that the king and queen of Arendelle, and their newborn “baby boy,” washed up on the shore of a jungle and built “a treehouse” before getting “eaten by a leopard.” He didn’t go so far as to say the baby boy was Tarzan, but implied it by noting the parents were eaten by a leopard, which was the story line in Tarzan.

If this theory is true, this would mean that Anna and Elsa have a brother! So, is Tarzan really Anna and Elsa’s brother, or was Buck just joking with fans? Buck says that “in his mind” the stories are connected, and says it’s all part of his “fun little world.”

“Yes, there was a shipwreck, but they were at sea a little bit longer than we think they were because the mother was pregnant, and she gave birth on the boat, to a little boy. They get shipwrecked, and somehow they really washed way far away from the Scandinavian waters, and they end up in the jungle. They end up building a tree house and a leopard kills them, so their baby boy is raised by gorillas. So in my little head, Anna and Elsa’s brother is Tarzan — but on the other side of that island are surfing penguins, to tie in a non-Disney movie, ‘Surf’s Up.’ That’s my fun little world.”
