‘The Big Bang Theory’ Actress Mayim Bialik Starts Her Own Website ‘GrokNation’

For fans of The Big Bang Theory, Mayim Bialik will be well known as the character Amy Farrah Fowler. But Mayim is so much more than just a lovable character on The Big Bang Theory. Not only is she a successful actor that started her career at the age of 12, she has managed to juggle her acting career with raising children, gaining a PhD, and writing about being a Jewish parent for online magazine Kveller.

It was at Kveller that her passion for writing about the things she knows about inspired the Big Bang Theory actress to branch out recently and start her very own website, GrokNation.

“Grok is an old-school sci-fi term from the 1961 book Stranger in a Strange Land. It means to fully grasp something in the deepest way possible.

I want to be able to reach all kinds of people with my thinking and writing, and while I will still continue to write for Kveller about Jewish parenting, GrokNation will be the place where I share my thoughts about being an actress on The Big Bang Theory, being a scientist and a vegan mom, being an unusual woman because I am an actress and a scientist and a vegan mom, and everything in between. Eventually, I want GrokNation to become a place for voices other than mine, but we are just starting out so it may take some time!”

Mayim Bialik would also like to push the boundaries a little more than she already does with Kveller. While Kveller allows the Big Bang Theory star to write about parenthood and her Jewish background in an unfiltered way, she would also like to explore more of her own personal passions.

While GrokNation is only a new website, Mayim Bialik has already managed to blog about many diverse topics including aging in Hollywood, homeschooling, her favorite kitchen utensils, and what her dressing room looks like on the set of The Big Bang Theory.
