Women Live Tweet Their Periods, Tag Donald Trump To Protest Insulting Comments

Women are live tweeting their periods and tagging Presidential GOP hopeful Donald Trump, following his crude remarks about Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly.

The controversy began during the first televised GOP debate, carried by Fox, where Kelly was one of three journalists asking questions of the candidates. Trump, who is at the head of the pack in polls, felt that the network anchor was “unfair” to him and unleashed a series of personal attacks.

One of the most incendiary comments came when Trump spoke to CNNs John Lemon and said, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever,” which many women thought was a reference to Kelly’s time of the month.

Unsurprisingly, Trump’s comments resulted in a new campaign on Twitter. Women live tweeting their periods using the hashtag #Periodsarenotaninsult are tagging Trump and flooding his timeline with witty remarks about the female bodily function.

If Donald Trump thought his comments about Megyn Kelly would go unnoticed, he was sorely mistaken, and not only that, this topic seems to have served to unite women, regardless of political party, against Trump’s perceived sexism.

You get the idea. Women are having a good time live tweeting about their periods and trolling Donald Trump, who may or may not think twice before getting so personal with a female.
