Ed Sheeran Has A New Pussycat But It Isn’t Nicole Scherzinger

Since Ed Sheeran split up with his longtime girlfriend Athina Andrelos earlier this year, we have seen a constant stream of speculation about who Sheeran may be dating. Over the past few days the gossip columns have reported that 24-year-old Sheeran may be dating former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger. It was rumored that 37-year-old Nicole had grown close to Sheeran after his music helped her through her split with Formula 1 racing driver Lewis Hamilton.

Sheeran and Scherzinger have certainly been spotted spending some time together in recent weeks. Nicole was Sheeran’s special guest at his recent sold out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium and the pair were reportedly seen sharing a drink in a pub in Sheeran’s home town, Framlington, Suffolk. Despite the speculation it seems that Sheeran has bagged himself a pussycat but it is not Nicole Scherzinger.

According to Capital FM spokespeople for both singers have confirmed that Ed and Nicole have spent some time together but that they are just friends. Nicole’s representative told The Sun that “there has been nothing romantic about the two performers’ get-togethers.” It seems that perhaps Ed and Nicole simply enjoy hanging out together. Sheeran told Capital FM’s Dave Berry that his love-life is “actually non-existent at the moment.” It seems that Ed has just been too busy to think about romance.

That said Sheeran has undeniably gained a pussycat. Sheeran has taken to Instagram to post a picture of himself having a huge lion tattooed across his chest.

According to the Mirror Sheeran’s latest ink has been designed by celebrity tattoo artist Kevin Paul who has previously tattooed the likes of One Direction star Harry Styles. According to the Daily Mail Sheeran’s latest artwork has been done as a memento of his record breaking sell out shows at Wembley last month.

The English National Football Team play its home games at Wembley Stadium and the lion is the team’s logo. Sheeran broke records by selling out three back-to-back shows at the stadium. Ed was the first solo artists to do so. Sheeran recently told the BBC that he was initially thinking about getting the Wembley stadium floor-plan tattooed on his side but changed his mind and opted for the lion instead.

Sheeran already has dozens of tattoo’s, each of which mark a significant event in his life or career to date. So Sheeran has gained an impressive new pussycat but it is a lion rather than a cougar.
