Body Recovered Thought To Be Troubled Boyfriend Of Annie Lennox’s Daughter Tali
The search has ended in Dutchess County, New York, for Ian Jones, boyfriend of Tali Lennox, also known as Tali Fruchtmann, daughter of Scottish singer Annie Lennox, best known as part of the Eurythmics with Dave Stewart.
CNN is reporting that a “male body, fitting the description of Ian Jones, was found around noon on Monday.” Saturday, Fruchtmann and Jones were on a kayak outing when the boat capsized in upstate New York. Fruchtmann was rescued soon after the kayak rolled, but Jones remained missing until yesterday. An autopsy is scheduled for this afternoon.
The Daily Freeman, the local Dutchess County paper in Staatsburg where the accident took place, is reporting that a 911 call came in Saturday at 9:50 a.m., which started the search for Ian Jones. Tali Fruchtmann was rescued by a passing boat and plucked out of the water, but Jones remained missing. Neither Fruchtmann nor Jones were wearing life preservers, and Dutchess County Sheriff’s Captain John Watterson believes it is possible that alcohol was a contributing factor.
Tali Fruchtmann, an artist and former model, took to Instagram, where she is listed as “talilennox,” according to People Magazine, to post a tribute to Jones, a model and photographer. “My heart is shattered. My best friend, my soul mate, my partner in crime & creativity, the LOVE & LIGHT of my life is no longer with me. ”
Fruchtmann is grateful to all of the people who have sent and posted messages of love and hope. “All the love that has been sent to me is giving me the strength to get through this. I know that he is so so happy that I was safely rescued. Let us honor & celebrate this beautiful soul & keep following the light.”
But according to the Daily Mail, Jones has a history of trouble with alcohol, often with criminal outcomes. At the time of the incident on Saturday, Jones had almost completed his probation for “threatening to kill flight attendants” on a flight from New York to Los Angeles. The paper has also reported that Jones, who has been to rehab several times, claimed that he “regularly attends AA meetings.”

The couple, who were guests of hotelier Andre Balzas at his home in Locusts-on-Hudson, went out early on Saturday morning after what the Daily Mail is calling “a night of partying.”
Autopsy results are not expected until late on Wednesday.
