Vicki Gunvalson Defends Her Step-Mom Stance: ‘My Kids DO Have A Step Mom’

Vicki Gunvalson has been very critical on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County, especially when it comes to new housewife, Meghan King Edmonds. Vicki takes a long time to warm up to people, but she has been very harsh with Meghan. Not only have they fought over money, but they have also fought over the roles of step-mothers.

Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney were a bit critical of Meghan King Edmonds’ comments about being a step-mother. She claimed that she wanted Jimmy’s kids to be her own, and as a step-mother, she realized that she wanted her own children. And that comment didn’t sit well with Vicki and Tamra.

According to a new tweet, Vicki Gunvalson is now trying to defend her comment about the step-mother argument. Gunvalson is now revealing that she wants all children to be loved.

“My happy place with my daughter and grandkids. Watch us tomorrow on #wwhl #nyc @ Soho House New York,” Vicki Gunvalson shared on Twitter yesterday, hinting that she would be on television to address the issues.

“And what if your grandkids end up with a stepmom someday… Wouldn’t you want her to love them as much as possible!?” one follower wrote, which had Vicki replying, “My kids DO have a step mom. Yes… I want them and all children to have as much love and support as possible.”

The drama stems from an argument the ladies had when in Tahiti. Gunvalson was upset with Meghan because she was making comments based on the fact that she had only been legally married to Jimmy for a few months, but still wanted his children to be her own. And since Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney are dealing with step-mothers thanks to divorces, they weren’t happy with the comments, according to the Inquisitr.

“You’ve only been a stepmom for three months,” Vicki Gunvalson told Meghan after she revealed that she wanted her own children one day, adding, “It’s nothing to get upset about, but you won’t know what it’s like until you have your own [children].”

“I wish I was their mom,” Meghan says through her tears, after having taken care of Hayley for quite some time, which had Tamra chiming in, “But you’re not.”

Edmonds argued that she had been in Jimmy’s life for years, and, therefore, his children knew about her for years. And they often looked up to her.
