‘Pokémon Shuffle’ Passcodes And Special Events: August 2015 Guide

As many Pokémon trainers say goodbye to summer break and head back to school this fall, they can find some comfort in the challenges and events still going strong in Pokémon Shuffle. The Inquisitr provides yet another helpful guide to all things Shuffle this month, including a plethora of new Passcodes.

Passcodes Aplenty

August is a big month for new passcodes in Pokémon Shuffle. According to Serebii, several of these new Passcodes first appeared on the Japanese program, Pokémon Get TV. To enter passcodes on your Nintendo 3DS, simply tap the notebook icon located on the bottom right of the level select screen. Choose the “Passcodes” option and enter all the codes you can. Just remember, each code can only be redeemed once.

Until August 21, enter 07072405 to get one “Mega Start” item.

Until August 28, enter 07073180 to get one “Attack Power” item.

Until September 4, enter 07080704 to get one “Disruption Delay” item.

Finally, one of the most valuable cheat codes is 20150917 since it can be used to get one Jewel for free. If you did not enter last month’s passcode that nets you three “Moves +5” items, the code 06150503 is still active until September 14, 2015.

New Safari Pokémon

The Pokémon Safari area features a few new familiar faces in this new daily Pokémon Shuffle challenge that debuted in July. Remember that the optimize button is not available, so pick a team that you feel will do well against this month’s lot of mystery monsters. According to the official site, until Aug 17 at 6:00 (UTC), the six Safari Pokémon are Gible, Gabite, Garchomp, Furfrou, Staryu, and Starmie.

Compete For Garchompite

As was the case with Manectric last month, catching Garchomp in the Safari is important if you want to evolve it into Mega Garchomp. The Garchompite Mega Stone is the prize for the top 18,000 scores in the current live competition that runs until August 17 at 6:00 (UTC). The top 5,000 scores get a bonus “Mega Speedup” item. Those who score in the top 26,000 earn two “Attack Power Up” items, with everyone else earning a Jewel for participating.

Pick Up Pignite

Following Tepig’s appearance last month, Pignite is now available to battle and capture for a limited time. Until August 17 at 6:00 (UTC), Pignite’s special stage is up for trainers to take on the evolved Fire-type. Once captured, take a moment to use the Pignite special stage to level up your Water, Rock and Ground types since Emboar will be making an appearance later in August, as well.

Take On Rayquaza

The Legendary Dragon Rayquaza can only be caught in this special stage that makes a limited time appearance from August 7 until August 14 at 6:00 (UTC). Rayquaza returns again from August 28 until September 4 at 6:00 (UTC). Since it is a Dragon-type, it is weak to other Dragon-types, Fairy-types and Ice-types. Mega Glalie or Mega Altaria might make the battle easier if you have them unlocked. Good luck!

As new Pokémon Shuffle events and passcodes become available, stay tuned for a second guide or follow-up, as you saw with the Inquisitr‘s Part 2 guide for July.
