Neville Neville Heart Attack Death: Football Fans Send Their Condolences To Neville Family
Neville Neville, the father of former Manchester United footballers, Gary and Phil Neville, has passed away as a result of a fatal heart attack. Fans were saddened the loss of someone who contributed so much to sport in England. Mr. Neville was also his sons’ agent throughout their illustrious careers.
Many fans immediately took to Twitter on news of the fatal heart attack to express their condolences to the Neville family.
Neville’s heart attack occurred on Thursday, August 6th. He was in Australia to support his daughter, Tracey, who is the head coach of the England netball team that is competing for the sport’s World Cup. Sadly, the heart attack proved fatal, and Neville passed away in the evening, local time.
In a fitting tribute to a man who gave so much to sport throughout his life, England Netball made the following announcement.
“Tracey has chosen to remain with the England team for the remainder of the World Cup and has the full support from everyone at England Netball.”
Understandably, having planned to travel to Sydney on the news of his father’s heart attack, Gary Neville was reported by the Daily Mail to be missing the start of the season. He was scheduled to play a significant part in the upcoming games, with appearances scheduled on both Sunday and Monday Night. Fans are responding to the news of the heart attack with support and understanding.
In their official statement following the news of Neville Neville’s heart attack, the family thanked the staff at the hospital’s heart attack ward.
“We would like to thank everyone at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney for the fantastic care and attention that dad received in the last few days and for their support.”
Prior to his involvement with football, where he supported his sons and was a director at Bury FC, Neville Neville played league cricket. His death has impacted many of Britain’s popular sports, including football, netball and cricket.
Neville Neville, 65, is survived by his wife Jill, who is Bury FC’s club secretary. He is also survived by his sons, Gary and Phil, and his daughter, Tracey.
Sports fan’s everywhere are saddened by his passing, and they will always remember Neville Neville’s dedication to the success of British sports.
