Bobbi Kristina Burial: Funeral Director Who Handled Bobbi Kristina’s Burial Opens Up In Interview

Bobbi Kristina’s burial site is next to her mother’s, Whitney Houston. Carolyn Whigham of Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey, spoke with NJ about what it was like having to deal with the death of the 22-year-old, who died before her time. Whigham also handled the burial details for Bobbi Kristina’s mother. The Whighams have a close relationship with the Houston family, and it’s been “very difficult” for this funeral director to cope with the reality that just three years after the death of Whitney, her own daughter died so young.

Burying a child next to her mother is emotionally difficult as it is. Carolyn Whigham says that she feels for Cissy Houston — Whitney’s mother, and Bobbi Kristina’s grandmother.

“My heart goes out to Cissy. It’s never a mother’s or father’s plan to lay their child to rest. And then to lose a child, and turn around and lose a grandchild… it’s unbelievable. It’s unimaginable. But I believe the strength that she has in God, she will get through the journey.”

The Whighams are relying on their faith, as well, in light of this tragedy in which Bobbi Kristina died on July 26 after she was found face down in a bathtub earlier this year — eerily, the same way that her mother was discovered at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Whigham picked up Bobbi Kristina’s body for burial Monday morning around 11:30 a.m. after it was flown to Newark. The body was riding in the “trademark gold” Whigham hearse, which had the initial “W” on it. Bobbi Kristina got the same kind of treatment that her mother did from the funeral home.

On the way to the funeral home, an entourage of police officers riding motorcycles led them to Westfield.

Revs. John and Lula Baker of Cross and Crown Christian Church in West Orange presided over the Bobbi Kristina burial, which lasted around 30 minutes.

Carolyn Whigham says it was so emotional because she and the rest of her family had empathy for the Houstons in the funeral service.

“This is hard because we have to put ourselves (in that place)… that could be me. We’re getting through it.”

Devastatingly enough, Wigham buried someone’s son last week, and this week she’ll be burying his mother.

As the Inquisitr just reported, death photos of Bobbi Kristina were sold to a tabloid, but it’s unknown which one it is. When Whitney Houston’s death photos leaked, it was the Enquirer that published the images.

In other news, the Mirror reports that the Houston and Brown family are supposedly fighting over Bobbi Kristina’s millions. Even at Bobbi Kristina’s burial, there was drama surrounding everyone at the funeral.
