Iggy Azalea’s Plastic Surgery: Iggy Getting ‘Honest’ About Nose Job

Iggy Azalea’s nose job and the rest of her plastic surgery procedures are front and center in her new Seventeen magazine interview. Azalea opened up to Seventeen about her plastic surgery decisions, “getting honest,” and talking about the difficulty of finding herself under scrutiny as a public figure. In a tweet Tuesday morning, Iggy said she was “so pumped to be on the new cover of Seventeen.”

Last May at the Billboard Music Awards, Azalea had to deal with the effects of some of that scrutiny, as speculation grew about her recent nose job. A lot of people thought that along with the probable rhinoplasty, Iggy had also made changes to the shape of her jaw.

The 25 year old rapper referred to social media pressure, saying that in addition to the existing pressure for women to “look beautiful,” social media adds another layer.

“It’s hard to be a woman in 2015 with social media,. There’s so much more emphasis on taking pictures of ourselves and the ‘likes’ or people commenting on them.”

Fans are supportive of Azalea’s choices, tweeting to the star that pressure makes diamonds.

The Seventeen photo shoot shows clearly a thinner, straighter nose, but Azalea made no mention of jaw surgery. The “Fancy” singer said that there are days when she “just want[s] to look like s**t and feel okay with that,” but admitted to having undergone plastic surgery for her nose and for breast implants. “I’m not denying it,” she told Seventeen in the interview that accompanied her cover photo spread. “Denying it is lame. I don’t think you should be ashamed if you made a change to yourself, which is why I’ve spoken about the changes I’ve made, like with my breasts.”

Calling plastic surgery an “emotional journey,” Iggy talked about learning to accept herself just as she is, flaws and all. “You can never be perfect,” the Australian “Trouble” star said. “There are things that I didn’t like about myself that I changed through surgery. There are other things I dislike but I’ve learned to accept. It’s important to remember you can’t change everything.”

With Iggy’s upcoming wedding to NBA star Nick Young, who proposed on one knee during his 30th birthday party in June, Iggy might be ready to move forward on the road to self acceptance.
