More Good News For Madonna: Another No. 1 Dance Single

Madonna might have started off the year on rough footing, but she has been on the upswing lately. According to Billboard, Madonna has scored yet another No. 1 dance hit with her latest Rebel Heart single.

“Madonna’s back at No. 1 on the Dance Club Songs chart, as her latest single, ‘B**** I’m Madonna’ rises 2-1 on the chart dated Aug. 15. It’s the diva’s 46th No. 1 on this chart, and extends her own record for the most No. 1s on a singular Billboard chart. (She broke the record in May, when she surpassed George Strait’s 44 leaders on the Hot Country Songs chart.)”

Madonna’s latest single has been a big hit for her. It not only tops the Dance Club Songs chart, but the video for the single has received almost 74 million views, the most for any Madonna video. The special guest stars may have helped at first, but the fact that the video keeps getting over 10 million views a week says that many people really like it. For others, the video is a train wreck that you can’t look away from. However, Madonna is the winner here since the more views she gets, the more money she earns.

Speaking of winning, it looks like Madonna is set to make millions with her Rebel Heart Tour. Despite ticket prices averaging $500 or more, the Rebel Heart Tour sold enough tickets in Manila for a second one to be added. Rappler has the news.

“Filipino fans of Madonna will have not one but two chances to see her perform live in Manila. A second date has been added to the Manila leg of her world tour. On Instagram, Music Management International (MMILive) announced that due to demand, Madonna will hold a second day of her concert on February 25 at the Mall of Asia Arena.”

This follows better-than-expected ticket sales in Australia, where despite most tickets costing $300 or more, Madonna has managed to sell out 90 percent of the tickets available for her performances, which are several months away. Madonna hasn’t played Australia in more than 23 years, so many insiders were wondering whether or not people would still care. Apparently, they still do.

Madonna has added several Rebel Heart shows in North America due to high demand. You can see Madonna three times in New York City, twice in Miami, twice in Toronto, and twice in Southern California. Madonna is the biggest female (and maybe biggest overall) performer of her generation. She has sold more tickets and grossed more money on her tours than any other solo artist in music history. Let’s hope Madonna’s Rebel Heart Tour thrills audiences just like her previous ones.
