The Chemical Brothers Top U.K. Album Chart For The Sixth Time

The Chemical Brothers are enjoying some more success, as the duo, made up of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons, went straight to the number one spot on the British album chart. The album Born In The Echoes took the Chemical Brothers straight to the top of the chart, according to Reuters.

This is the sixth time that the Chemical Brothers have made it to the top of the British chart, and it also means that the Chemical Brothers have the most studio albums that have reached number one for a dance act.

According to BBC, the latest album by the Chemical Brothers took the top spot from Communion, the debut album by the trio Years and Years. Even though the Chemical Brothers bumped Years and Years from the top spot, Ed Sheeran remained in the third spot on the album chart with his album X.

As previously mentioned, this is not the first time the Chemical Brothers have reached the number one spot on the U.K. album chart. As reported by the Official Charts Company, the Chemical Brothers have been to the top of the chart five other times. Some of the Chemical Brothers’ albums that have landed at number one include Dig Your Own Hole (1997) and Surrender (1999). The other albums by Chemical Brothers include Come With Us (2002), Push The Button (2005) and We Are The Night (2007). The latest album by the Chemical Brothers was released on July 17.

The latest single off the Chemical Brothers’ newest album is called “Under Neon Lights,” which was officially released on June 23. The two other singles that the Chemical Brothers have released from the album include “Go” and “Sometimes I Feel So Deserted.”

The Prodigy, another electronic dance band, are not that far behind the Chemical Brothers. The Prodigy have released five studio albums that have gotten to the top spot.

The Chemical Brothers are not the only ones enjoying success on the U.K. album chart. The U.S. heavy metal band Lamb Of God reached number 7 on the chart. That is the highest number they reached. The album that made it is called Sturm Und Drang, which is their eight record.

As for the Billboard top 200 chart, the Chemical Brothers have landed in at 73. The rapper Future is on top of the Billboard album chart with his album DS2. As Inquisitr previously reported, this is the first time Future has reached the number one spot on the Billboard 200 chart.
