Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris: Will They Or Won’t They Sign A Prenup? [Rumors]

Rumors are swirling that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris are planning to get married. Although the couple has not yet confirmed nor denied the rumors, the media hasn’t stopped speculating about their supposed wedding. While Calvin is reportedly planning to propose, Taylor has her dream wedding in mind.

Taylor Swift, 25, and Calvin Harris, 31, have already agreed on not having a prenuptial agreement. The reason? Swift thinks that they’re “totally unromantic.” An alleged source told Hollywood Life the reason why the “Bad Blood” singer won’t sign one.

“Taylor hates the idea of having a prenup when she gets married. She thinks it’s so unromantic — it’s like giving up before you even start. When she gets married, she wants it to be forever, no prenup required.”

Of course, Swift’s parents and management team aren’t happy with the idea.

“Her dad and her whole money team are going to want her to sign one, of course. But Taylor just thinks the whole topic is so distasteful — they’ll be fighting her on it.”

According to the Life & Style report, Taylor’s net worth is “over $200 million,” while Calvin’s net worth is “about half that.” The musical couple just topped Forbes’ list as the highest-paid celebrity couple. Combined, Taylor and Calvin made $146 million last year, thanks to their hit songs and their celebrity endorsements.

However, the source claims that they’re not letting their income affect their wedding plans.

“Taylor and Calvin plan to be together forever, but when you have as much money as they do, you have to be practical. Their attorneys aren’t taking any chances. It could be the biggest prenup Hollywood has ever seen!”

That makes sense since Swift and Harris knocked Beyonce and Jay-Z off of Forbes’ Celebrity 100. Beyonce sat at number 1 while Jay-Z was at number 6.

The idea of Taylor not signing a prenuptial agreement sounds unusual for the singer. She’s known for protecting her branding, image, and money. Taylor has been accused of photographers who say she has iron-clad agreements on what they can and cannot do with her 1989 World Tour photos.

Most recently, Swift is attempting to launch her very own clothing line in China to fight off the counterfeit merchandise that runs rampant in the country. Swift has also infamously pulled her music from Spotify and music streaming services that offer a free-tier structure. According to Swift, artists should get paid every time their songs and videos are streamed.

Taylor has also purchased several domains to ensure that her brand doesn’t get tarnished. So it’s sounds so unlike the singer to not sign a prenuptial agreement. Then again, the report is from Life & Style magazine, which means the story should be taken with a grain of salt.

The tabloid was also the first to report about Harris’ plans to propose to Swift with a $500,000 Neil Lane diamond ring. The Scottish DJ export is reportedly deciding whether he wants to propose in Italy, Paris, or Nashville.
