Is Aviva Drescher returning to The Real Housewives of New York City? On Thursday, Aviva, who was on the show for seasons 5 and 6, posted a photo of herself taping for Bravo.
Unfortunately for Aviva’s fans, it seems that they won’t be seeing her hanging out with Bethenny Frankel, Ramona Singer, LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan, and the rest of the ladies. Instead, they’ll likely be seeing her on either Watch What Happens Live or a special that’ll be airing to celebrate the show. Aviva’s photo shows her on the Watch What Happens Live set.
When someone asked Aviva what they were filming for, another person replied that they’re filming a 100 episode special. Recently, Bravo aired a 100 episode special celebrating The Real Housewives of Atlanta. The special showcased some of the show’s best moments through the years and featured interviews from both past and present Atlanta housewives.
Aviva later posted another pic that provided a full view of the outfit that she wore.
While Aviva Drescher is no longer on The Real Housewives of New York City, she still hangs out with some of the women. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Aviva attended Jill Zarin’s third annual Luxury Ladies Luncheon two weekends ago. Ramona Singer and LuAnn de Lesseps were also there. Aviva posted a photo of herself with LuAnn and declared her to be the “COOL one;” a reference to LuAnn’s warning with Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill to be “be cool, don’t be all like uncool” over strange men being in their Turks and Caicos vacation rental.
During her time on the show, Aviva feuded with Heather and Carole so it’s not surprising that she would take LuAnn’s side in her current drama with the two women. Aviva accused Carole of not writing her books, resulting in a feud widely dubbed on social media as #Bookgate. Heather, incensed that Aviva would question Carole’s career, lashed out at Aviva.
On the season finale episode, Aviva got so mad at Carole and Heather during a group dinner in a restaurant that she took off her prosthetic leg and slammed it on the table. She then threw the leg across the room.
Yet not even that dramatic act could save Aviva Drescher from getting the ax. In a December 2014 Ask Andy segment, Andy Cohen, when asked about Aviva’s departure, admitted that The Real Housewives of New York City viewers just didn’t like Aviva.
“I think that that was a situation where we listened to the fans.”
