Former MTV couple Leah Messer and Corey Simms have been at odds nearly since their 2011 divorce.
After marrying in 2010, Messer admitted to cheating on her husband, and six months into their marriage, the former MTV couple, who are parents to 5-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah, called it quits. While their divorce was slightly uneventful, the former MTV couple’s relationship eventually became strained of child support. Although Messer’s new husband, Jeremy Calvert, was making nearly $20,000 per month, at the time, Messer and Simms often bickered over the amount he was giving to the reality star mother of his two kids.
As the years went on, the former MTV couple had their moments of civility, but for the most part, they did their best to keep their distance. Then, in 2014, as Messer’s second marriage came to an end after allegations of her cheating yet again, her relationship with Simms became strained, and her parenting reportedly went down hill.
During the sixth season of Teen Mom 2, the former MTV couple sits down to discuss Messer’s parenting mishaps, which Simms claimed included getting her children to school a whopping 10 times in just one month. He also alleged his children were forced to make their own toast, after their mother failed to get out of bed at a reasonable hour.
“It’s not really that big of a deal,” Messer responds, according to a sneak peek shared by Radar Online on July 29.
Messer then goes on to hint that what looks like bad parenting is actually a set up.
“It feels like someone has a plot against me or something like that. At the end of the day, it’s my kids, my life. I have to do what I have to do.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, the former MTV couple’s latest discussion was also a hot topic earlier this week. In a report by Starcasm, Simms’ comments about his daughter’s cooking were revealed.
“I was a sick a couple weekends ago and eating toast, and Aleeah’s like, ‘Oh I know how to make a toast.’ I’m like, ‘How the hell do you know how to make a toast? How do you even know how to use a toaster?’ This is what she said. She said, ‘Cause my mommy’s a sleepy head, and I have to make myself breakfast.’ Whenever your child says that, and she can show you how to make toast in a toaster to back up what she said, that’s hard!”
