‘The Mockingjay Part 2’ Trailer Promises More Action Than The Book

The third book in The Hunger Games trilogy, The Mockingjay, was disappointing for many readers. It felt anticlimactic, after so much action in the first two novels. When the books were turned into movies, many wondered whether the third book could every be that exciting. Now that the trailer for The Mockingjay Part 2 has been released, there are hints that it could be just as exciting as all the rest.

The trailer has only just been released, and it is an instant hit online. Those who have not read the final book would have no idea of the anticlimactic ending. Those who have read it are now on the edges of their seats, waiting impatiently for the release. It looks like it is full of action, full of battles, and (more importantly) that it will bring the war to an end.

However, some are questioning whether the trailer is simply showing the earlier parts of The Mockingjay movie. A lot of it is focused on Katniss, which is understandable considering the other movies are and the books are written from her point of view. There are some small snippets that do not seem to involve her, but nothing to show the takedown of President Snow.

The takedown was the part that many fans were left unimpressed by. As the story was told from Katniss’ point of view and she was not part of that, it led to the details being skipped over. Twilight had a similar problem, but the producers found a way around the issue with Breaking Dawn Part 2 by making it part of a dream. Some of The Hunger Games series has been viewed from a different perspective in snippets, and that could happen with The Mockingjay’s final part.

There is nothing to give away how this movie could possibly end or whether the final battle will be seen. The IMDb profile for The Mockingjay Part 2 trailer just states that Katniss will work with her closest friends to liberate Panem citizens.

For those who enjoy some of the more emotional moments in The Hunger Games series, there is the promise of them in the latest instalment. Collider points out that the trailer shows a number of them, including a beautiful moment of Katniss and Prim hugging at what looks like a wedding.

The trailer has now been shared publicly, and is available for viewing on YouTube. There definitely looks to be more action in The Mockingjay Part 2 than the book provided, but does that mean it will avoid the anticlimactic ending?
