Zoe Saldana Wants a Family, Says Kids are ‘Delicious’

Actress Zoe Saldana may have just split with former beau Bradley Cooper, but the 33-year-old star still has babies on the brain.

Saldana talks in a recent interview about her desire to be a mother and the reticence her exes have had about starting a family. Zoe Saldana and ex Bradley Cooper- who played a free-wheeling bachelor in the Hangover films- dated for three months, but before that, the star was involved with 35-year-old Keith Britton.

In that time, Saldana explains in a recent interview, she had mommy aspirations- but balancing that with Britton’s desire to wait was difficult. Saldana says:

“For years he wasn’t ready. Then when he got ready, I didn’t have time. I never held anything off because I was waiting for something to kick in. I don’t think that far about tomorrow.”

Saldana describes the frustration of holding off when she felt the urge to procreate:

“I felt the urge to want to have a baby, and I wanted to, but I remember that respecting his decision- and making the decision to wait with him- was one of the most mature things. I chose to wait and I’m glad I did. I’m glad that I respected him.”

While many people find little kids stressful, Saldana says that she has always loved to be around kids. The actress dishes:

“I love the anxiety, the pressure of the loud room full of yapping kids. But I’m a kid myself… I dig them, I get them. They make perfect sense to me. A child makes perfect sense to me. A child speaks more sense than an adult half of the time.”
