Jared Haibon Defends ‘Bachelorette’ Kaitlyn Bristowe Against Slut-Shaming Bullies

Jared Haibon may have had his heart broken by Kaitlyn Bristowe, but he joins Ben Higgins, Chris Harrison, former ‘BacheloretteAli Fedotowski, and original ‘Bachelorette‘ Trista Sutter in defending her against relentless online slut-shamers.

Jared told People he has no hard feelings toward Kaitlyn Bristowe for any of her decisions on The Bachelorette, including the one to send him home. Haibon has no doubt he shared a true connection with Kaitlyn, but he recognizes it just wasn’t as strong as the one she had with Ben Higgins, Shawn Booth, and Nick Viall.

“I know how hard of a day that was for both of us. There were parts of me that wanted to go back and pull a romantic gesture like Heath Ledger walking down the bleachers in 10 Things I Hate About You, but that’s not the way it works here. There were three other guys after me. Kaitlyn and I had a wonderful connection, but it just wasn’t as strong as the others.”

Jared Haibon doesn’t blame Kaitlyn for her decision to have sex with Nick Viall during a one-on-one date, either. The 26-year-old restaurant manager admits if he found himself in the same situation as Nick, it would have been difficult not to explore that part of his relationship with Kaitlyn.

“My relationship with Kaitlyn was different than her relationship with Nick. Theirs is much more intense and passionate in terms of physicality. If we were in that moment, it would be very hard not to explore and further our relationship, and that’s what they did. We’re all adults here.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe has faced criticism and been the target of cyber bullies since she admitted things went too far with Nick Viall. Jared Haibon says she does not deserved the harsh judgement she has received, telling People, “Kaitlyn doesn’t deserve any sort of criticism. She treated every relationship differently, and that’s what she should have done.”

As the Inquisitr reports, while Jared Haibon is still not completely over Kaitlyn, he is taking another shot at finding love on Season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise, which begins August 2 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC. The Bachelorette finale airs July 27 at 8 p.m. ET.
