Sofia Vergara: Her Love Of Motherhood And Wedding Details

Sofia Vergara had very public allegations brought against her earlier this year in regards to her apparent intention to destroy frozen embryos she and her ex, Nick Loeb, had set aside. The reports led to Vergara coming forward and verifying that she has no intention to destroy the embryos, adding that she will never use the embryos if she wishes to have more children in the future.

After such a media circus, one would assume that Vergara is not intent on having anymore children. However, the Latin Times shares details from an interview during which Sofia discussed her feelings about being a mother to her son, Manolo.

“I am a children person… I’m that typical gal at reunions who fights to hold the babies and they come easily to me. Being a mom is divine. Manolo is my greatest pride and the two of us have gone through a lot. He has been my biggest companion in this road, my support, and without him nothing would make sense. I am very thankful to life for the son I got.”

The Modern Family star gave birth to Manolo early in her career, which meant Sofia having to make the choice between her career and motherhood. Vergara left her career and headed to the U.S. to provide her son the best life she could as a single mother. The journey, which Sofia has chosen since the birth of her son, led the publication to ask the very personal question as to whether Vergara regrets having her son so young. Sofia responded in her usual determined and vivacious manner.

“I was a mom at the beginning of my career and no, I have no regrets. I think I have handled motherhood and my career with heart and brain within all the circumstances I went through. I knew I had to work to support him as a single mom, and that’s what I came to the U.S. for.”

As for Vergara’s plans to have more children with soon-to-be hubby Joe Manganiello, there has been no verified word. However, the couple has finally set the date for their nuptials. The two are to wed on November 22, and it is sure to be one extravagant and festive occasion. Us Weekly shares the details that were passed along by an insider.

“An insider close to the Hollywood power couple revealed to US Weekly that the two will wed this fall at Breakers Palm Beach Resort in Florida. The beach front location can accommodate a wedding as small as 50 guests, but also boasts a ‘majestic ballroom’ for a 500 person reception.”
