Stepdad Shoots Boyfriend: Girl’s Stepdad Greets Her Boyfriend With A Shotgun, Shoots Him
A stepdad shoots his stepdaughter’s boyfriend, grazing the head of the 16-year-old, sending him to the hospital. According to NewsMax, Alvin Knight, 50, isn’t a fan of the boy, and apparently wanted to show him just how much he wasn’t liked. One night, the boy went to Knight’s home in Apopka, Florida to see his girlfriend, and when Knight opened the door to let the boy in, Knight was holding up a shotgun.
“The 16-year-old boy comes over to the house to visit the girlfriend, who lives there. The father and the boyfriend don’t get along very well, so the father of the girlfriend answers the door with a shotgun in his hand,” said Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Paul Hopkins.
The teenager grabbed the barrel of the gun, and held it up to his head in an effort to show Knight that he wasn’t scared.
The stepdad then shoots the boyfriend, the bullet grazing his head. The teen was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center, but his injuries are said to be non-life threatening. Meanwhile, Knight will see his day in court. Police have charged him with aggravated battery with a firearm — and this isn’t the first time that he has gotten in trouble with the law either.
“Knight also has a criminal record accrued over 15 years, which includes previous arrests for charges in connection with burglary, drugs, and assaulting an officer. Knight may also face charges of witness-tampering and attempting to cover up evidence.”
According to Click Orlando, Knight was “combative” when he was arrested. He was yelling all kinds of things as police put him in the back of a cruiser.
Alvin Knight has since posted bond and has been released from jail.
