Josh Duggar Becomes A Dad For The Fourth Time

Josh Duggar is a dad, again!

The controversial reality TV star and proud dad posted a selfie on Instagram Sunday showing himself, wife Anna, and new baby girl.

“Announcing the arrival of Meredith Grace Duggar — 7lbs 14 ozs, 20-1/2in — Anna and Meredith are resting & doing well!”

Josh and Anna Duggar also have three other children, according to the Hollywood Gossip: Mackynzie, 5, Michael, 4, and Marcus, 2. You’ll notice that, with the addition of Meredith, Josh and Anna are continuing the Duggar family tradition of giving all of their kids names starting with the same letter (Josh and his brothers and sisters all have names starting with the letter J).

In a statement via the Daily Mail, Josh’s parents, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, announced that they are thrilled that their son is a dad, and can’t wait to enjoy their new grandchild.

“Anna did an amazing job though labor. We are just rejoicing with Josh and Anna. Meredith Grace is beautiful and Mackynzie, Michael and Marcus are just loving having their little sister here.”

The newest addition to the Duggar family comes amid a series of difficulties for the former reality stars. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, news broke earlier this year that, as a teen, Josh Duggar had molested two of his sisters — Jill and Jessa — as wells as two other girls. Josh was never charged with any crimes, and his family stood by him.

“I hurt others, including my family and close friends. I confessed this to my parents who took several steps to help me address the situation… I sought forgiveness from those I had wronged and asked Christ to forgive me and come into my life.”

Regardless, the damage had already been done: Josh was fired from his job at right-wing think tank Family Research Council, and just a few days ago, TLC cancelled the Duggar family reality series, 19 Kids and Counting.

All of the controversy seems to have taken a toll and some of the Duggar family’s fans, as well: on Josh’s Instagram post showing off the new baby, several fans mourned the loss of the show.

“Congrats, I’m so bummed I won’t be seeing shows on all the great things happening. Last night my daughter asked if we could watch The Duggars and I had to say no. love and miss u guys.”

Josh Duggar is not just a dad again — he’s soon to be an uncle again, too: sister Jessa (Seewald) is also expecting a baby.
