Former and current stars from some of Bravo’s biggest shows came together in the Hamptons on Saturday. Jill Zarin, who used to star on The Real Housewives of New York City, hosted her third annual Luxury Ladies Luncheon at her Hamptons home. In attendance were LuAnn de Lesseps, Aviva Drescher, Cynthia Bailey, and Patti Stanger.
Jill, who starred on The Real Housewives of New York City for four seasons, from seasons 1 through 4, hosts the shindig annually as a way to raise money for charity while having fun with her girlfriends.
Aviva Drescher came on the show after Jill left. Aviva’s own run on the show ended after the sixth season. She posted a tweet that showed that she’s still watching the show or at least keeps up with what’s going on it. She posted a photo of herself with current housewife LuAnn de Lesseps and wrote that she’s the “‘COOL’ one,” adding the hashtag “#GIRLCODE.”
The latest episode showed LuAnn telling Heather Thomson and Carole Radziwill to be “cool” and not “be all, like, uncool” after they erupted in anger over finding an unknown, naked man sleeping across from them in their Turks and Caicos vacation rental. After a night of partying, LuAnn and Ramona Singer brought back two men. While LuAnn showed her man out, Ramona left her man sleeping elsewhere in the property while she went to her own bed. LuAnn is currently promoting her single “Girl Code,” which is inspired by that particular drama.
During Aviva Drescher’s time on the show, she feuded heavily with Carole Radziwill, whom she accused of not actually writing her books. Heather Thomson, in defense of her good friend Carole, lashed out at Aviva. Heather even called Aviva a “motherf**ker” during one group trip. Aviva responded by asking Heather if she learned to talk like that in prison.
Cynthia Bailey, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, posted a group shot of everyone at the event, including former Millionaire Matchmaker star Patti Stanger.
Last Friday, Patti announced that she was leaving Bravo. She stated that she would be moving on to another network.
After 8 seasons I've decided to leave @Bravotv Thank u 4 the great ride. Stay tuned for exciting news as I move to a wonderful new network!— Patti Stanger (@pattistanger) July 10, 2015
In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, Bravo wished Patti the best.
“We loved watching Patti Stanger find love for so many people over the last 8 seasons on Bravo. We wish her the best with her new endeavors.”
As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Patti caused some controversy in April when she publicly said that she and Jill saw Mario Singer cheat on Ramona Singer. When Ramona lashed back at Patti, saying that she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, Jill tweeted that it’s no wonder that Mario left Ramona.
New The Real Housewives of New York City cast member Dorinda Medley also made it out to the event.
As for whether Jill Zarin will ever return to The Real Housewives of New York City besides LuAnn de Lesseps as a starring cast member, the answer is likely no. In October 2014, executive producer Andy Cohen said on one of his Ask Andy segments that the current cast would revolt if Jill was brought back.
“I doubt it. I think we might have a little bit of a cast mutiny if Jill came back, sadly.
Andy also admitted that viewers didn’t like Aviva Drescher. Regarding her departure from the show, he said that he and the other producers listened to the fans.
“I think that that was a situation where we listened to the fans.”
