‘Grey’s Anatomy’: What We Can Probably Expect To See In Season 12

Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 spoilers are buzzing around the web after the explosive Season 11 in which Patrick Dempsey’s character Dr. Derek Shepherd, aka “McDreamy,” was killed off, shocking fans everywhere. Now, viewers are dying to find out what’s in store next season.

Wet Paint is predicting 12 big things that fans can probably expect to see when Grey’s Anatomy returns for Season 12 on September 24.

Of course, one of the biggest questions that fans have is how will the show go on without Derek Shepherd? Well, after Derek’s tragic and shocking death, there were a few episodes in which Meredith shows just how strong she is, and that she can, in fact, live without the love of her life and raise their three children, all while maintaining a career as a busy surgeon.

However, Meredith has shown signs of not doing well on her own in the past. This could mean a new love interest will be introduced for her. Mer will have to have some drama in her life, so if not a man, then possibly her mother’s Alzheimer’s gene. Perhaps either she or her half-sister, Maggie, will have early signs of the terrible disease.

Us Weekly reports that Martin Henderson has joined the Grey’s Anatomy cast as a series regular for Season 12. He’s handsome, and totally Derek Shepherd-like, he’s just Meredith Grey’s type, and he’ll likely be someone she can lean on when the time comes.

Meanwhile, another couple might finally make it to the altar. Alex and Jo could possibly and finally tie the knot in Season 12. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, there were rumblings of Katherine Heigl reprising her role as Alex’s ex-wife Izzy Stevens; the actress has shot down those rumors, so don’t get your hopes up.

All the while, Grey-Sloan Memorial Hospital’s newest married couple, Richard Webber and Catherine Avery, will likely get more screen time as Catherine will more than likely be around more often now that she’s married to Dr. Webber.

While Catherine is happily married, her son Jackson Avery is not. Jackson and his wife April Kepner are totally on the rocks, and the pair will probably either split up or reunite during Grey’s Anatomy Season 12.

Dr. Miranda Bailey and her hunky hubby, Ben Warren, won’t be out of the spotlight either. Bailey is on track to become the next chief of surgery while her husband Ben will get more screen time as well. Maybe we’ll see more of his transgender sister in Season 12.
