Chris Harrison On Shawn Booth’s ‘Bachelorette’ Streak: ‘There Are Some Things You Can’t Unsee’
The Bachelorette has left little to the imagination this season. We’ve had early sex, a “bromance,” and on Monday night’s episode, full-frontal nudity. Sort of. A well-placed black box hid most of the indiscretion.
Contestant Shawn Booth went golfing with Kaitlyn Bristowe on a pristine course in Ireland. As ET Online recalled, the two got bored and decided to play truth or dare. She dared Booth to streak across the green.
Calling after him, Bristowe said, “You can put your little [golfing] glove over it – I mean your huge glove over it!”
In his blog for Yahoo, host Chris Harrison noted he played some golf at the resort where they stayed in Ireland while filming The Bachelorette and made up for Booth and Bristowe’s poor play “on behalf of America.”
“I did not, however, streak the 18th hole. I’ll leave that one to Shawn. I don’t think he’ll ever be doing that again. Let’s just say it was so cold out that day you could barely see a tee in the green. Unfortunately my room overlooked that very spot, and there’s some things you can’t unsee.”
Booth himself made fun of the incident as he tweeted during the broadcast. He even responded to a fan “collage” of selected poses.

As for the rest of the night’s dramatics, Harrison mused that perhaps Ben Higgins was not appropriate for Kaitlyn because his relationship with her lacked the passion of her unions with Nick Viall and Booth. Nonetheless, Harrison sees romantic happiness in Higgins’ future.
“Seeing Ben go was tough. He had actually made huge leaps with Kaitlyn in recent weeks, but it was too little, and too late. But I’m not too worried about him. I think he’s going to be fine and I’m sure he’s going to end up with an amazing woman before too long.”
The next stop for The Bachelorette is the Men Tell All special. Harrison teased that some of the men responsible for the season’s dramatic moments — Ian Thomson and Clint Arlis — will be there, as well as some fan favorites, such as Higgins.
The Bachelorette airs on ABC.
