Dorinda Medley Talks ‘Scary Island 2.0,’ Likens Vacationing With ‘RHONY’ Co-Stars To Purgatory

Dorinda Medley is holding nothing back in describing what it is like to vacation with the Real Housewives of New York. According to the RHONY newcomer, the trip was like purgatory.

According to Medley in her latest Bravo blog published July 13, the trip to Turks and Caicos with her castmates was nothing short of exhausting.

“Well, here we are in the Turks and Caicos—still—and all hell is on the verge of breaking loose. Scary Island 2.0 doesn’t even begin to describe it…seriously, it feels more like Purgatory as the days go on. I’m beyond exhausted and simply not used to being with so many women all the time.”

On to the “F*** You” dinner, Dorinda Medley says she may have had a bit too much to drink that night, but her reaction at dinner to the ladies’ use of the F-bomb was more from exhaustion, not dirty martinis.

“I was exhausted, physically and mentally, and quite frankly, ready to go home. I am feeling like if one more topic is belabored and over-discussed, I was going to go all Patty Hearst on everyone. Listen, we were all on vacation, and every once in a while, you get a little tipsy on vacation. It’s not like we broke new ground here, people. I don’t think it merits the full-fledged onslaught, did it?”

Dorinda admits she was also overwhelmed with trying to keep up with the RHONY “big dogs.”

“Listen, this was the first time I’d been away in this kind of environment with a bunch of high rollers like these girls. It’s like going to Vegas with the Rat Pack but with bad music and a five-drink minimum. By the fourth night, I was over it. Believe me, it gets better and better.”

The sassy newcomer also takes co-star Kristen Taekman to task for commenting that Dorinda’s reaction to the Housewives’ frequent use of the F-bomb was because Dorinda had too much to drink.

“I know Kristen likes to suggest it could’ve been something else that made me a bit loopy, but I just think it’s just her cry for attention. Surprisingly, she hated it last year when people made assumptions about her life and her marriage. No need for some history to repeat, I think.”

Although Dorinda Medley may be exhausted at this point in the trip, the Housewives’ vacation is not over, and as a RHONY sneak peek released July 13 suggests, neither is the drama. As E! Online reports, Tuesday’s episode reveals the epic fight between the Housewives that inspired Luann de Lesseps new single “Girl Code (Don’t Be So Uncool).”
