Chelsea Houska and her daughter’s father, Adam Lind, are at war during Teen Mom 2 Season 6. As fans saw in the sneak peek trailer, Lind filed for more rights to Aubree during filming, and a while later, he and Chelsea Houska went to court.
During a video interview shared by Perez Hilton on July 9, Chelsea Houska spoke of her legal drama with Lind and her picture-perfect relationship with Cole DeBoer.
“You are going to see it all play out… Me getting the letter and dealing with the lawyer, and they filmed us going into court… It’s hard to go back to a time when you were really stressed out and to have those feelings again, but I try not to let it bother me.”
One thing that does bother Chelsea Houska is her ex-boyfriend’s tendency to manipulate their daughter.
“There’s things that he does that I feel aren’t genuine, and I feel like he has different motives. I think he’s trying to make himself look better.”
Luckily, her new boyfriend, DeBoer, is completely different from Lind — and in the best of ways. According to Chelsea Houska, DeBoer is the first guy she introduced to her daughter as her boyfriend, and right away, they clicked. In fact, DeBoer is now a “father figure” in Aubrey’s life.
“He stepped up to be a father figure.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, there have been rumors regarding a possible engagement between Chelsea Houska and DeBoer, but so far, no confirmation has been made. The couple is, however, planning to move into together within the month, which Chelsea Houska announced to In Touch Weekly several days ago.
“We will be [living together] soon — within a month. I have my own house, so he’ll be moving in with me. [Aubree] loves Cole. Adam [Lind, Aubree’s troubled father] is not a part of my life anymore. So Cole has taken on the parent role. He is so good with Aubree. I don’t see my life without Cole.”
Chelsea Houska and Lind went to court in March, and Lind was denied unsupervised visits with Aubree. Later this month, the former couple will return to court, where their ongoing custody case will be revisited. At that time, if the judge feels Lind, who has been accused of DUI a whopping three times, has changed, he will overturn his ruling.
