Chelsea Houska is getting serious with boyfriend Cole DeBoer. After dating for nearly one year, the Teen Mom 2 star is ready to share her and DeBoer’s relationship with the world in the upcoming sixth season of the show. Ahead of the big premiere, Houska got candid about their relationship.
During an interview with MTV News , via Wetpaint Entertainment on July 2, Chelsea Houska opened up about her future plans with DeBoer.
“It’s not like we’re planning on getting married or anything right now, but I definitely don’t see us breaking up. We’ll just take the next step as it comes. I’d love to be with him forever. And I definitely want more kids in general.”
Also in her interview with MTV News , Chelsea Houska gushed over DeBoer’s ability to step up as a father to her daughter Aubree, explaining that while she’s struggled to incorporate Adam Lind into Aubree’s life, DeBoer has been a great father figure.
“My relationship with Cole is completely different than past relationships. I’ve only had bad relationships — I mean, I’ve had one, really. And that was terrible. Everyone saw that play out.”
“He’s great with Aubree. Cole’s relationship with Aubree is so amazing to me because she’s never had like a positive male role model in her life. I mean, she’s had her grandpa. But as a father figure, he completely stepped up to take on that responsibility — more than I ever could have even imagined.”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Chelsea Houska and Adam Lind are currently involved in an ongoing custody battle over 5-year-old Aubree. According to a Radar Online report last month, Lind went to court earlier this year in hopes of being granted unsupervised visits with his daughter, as well as the ability to drive with her in his car. However, the judge denied his request, instead scheduling a hearing for this summer, at which point his request will be revisited.
In the past, Lind has dealt with three DUIs and a reckless driving violation, which have resulted in his inability to have his daughter in a car with him. He is also reportedly unable to spend time with Aubree if his parents aren’t involved.
