Kenya Moore On NeNe Leakes’ ‘RHOA’ Departure And Her Own Future On Show

Is Kenya Moore very happy that her nemesis NeNe Leakes isn’t returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta? If she is, she isn’t saying it.

On Monday night, Kenya opened herself up to questions from fans via her Twitter page. In response to a fan who asked her if she’s happy that NeNe has left the show, Kenya gave an answer that evaded the question.

She later tweeted three painting nails emojis in response to the NeNe question. Was that Kenya’s way of saying that she finds the news of NeNe’s departure as boring as watching paint dry?

While viewers won’t be seeing NeNe Leakes on Season 8 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, it seems that they will see Kenya Moore. When someone asked her if she’s coming back next season, Kenya implied that she is and added the princess/queen emoji to her tweet.

“I can’t say but u can guess

Hours earlier, People reported that NeNe won’t be returning to the show. In her interview with People, NeNe said that now’s the time for her to do different things, which includes a prime time television show with a “big legend.”

“This was definitely a hard decision for me. Me and my husband [Gregg Leakes] have been going back and forth on it for weeks now. But my contract is up and I just think this is the right time. This is my opportunity to spread my wings and do different things.”

NeNe also gave a dig at some of her former co-stars. In what seemed to be a reference to Kenya Moore, who has long maintained that NeNe is not the queen bee of the show that she thinks she is, NeNe said that now is their time to shine.

“I think some of the girls will be happy. They always felt like I was the star, and they were never able to really shine with me there, so here’s their opportunity to shine.”

NeNe also said that viewers will probably see her on the show every now and then.

“I’m not saying I’m gone forever. I’ll probably pop up and play with those girls every now and then.”

That is probably a statement that executive producer Andy Cohen likes very much. As the Inquisitr reported, right after the news was released, Andy declared that NeNe Leakes is always welcome back to The Real Housewives of Atlanta. He pointedly wrote that she helped build the show to what it is today.
