Michael Buble’s Son Hospitalized After Scalding Incident, Doing ‘Very Well’

Michael Buble and his family are thanking their fans and well-wishers for their love and support after his son, Noah, was hospitalized following a scalding incident, People is reporting.

The 22-month-old was scalded by hot water in the family’s home in Argentina, a family representative told People.

“Noah is fine. This was nothing major at all, thank goodness.”

Specifics of what, exactly, happened to Buble’s son are scarce at this time, but Spanish-language newspaper Clarin reports that the boy was taken to German Hospital and was treated for burns over six percent of his body from scalding water.

On Thursday, Buble’s wife, Argentinian actress tweeted, in her native Spanish, that her son was doing “very well.”

“Thanks to everyone for supporting me in these moments. My son is very well. God willing, we will go home soon.”

Michael Buble himself was not at home when his son was hospitalized, according to MSNhe’s currently in the U.S. – but he is being kept appraised of the situation. However, he was able to give a statement to ET Canada.

“He is OK. It’s tough to see him go through it. I try to remind Lu that we are Lucky. That it could have been worse.”

Just days ago, Buble and his son appeared in an adorable photo on his mom’s Instagram account.

Noah Buble’s hospitalization illustrates the importance of taking great care when it comes to small children and hot water. Water that is just barely warm enough for an adult can cause severe burns to a small child, says Public Service Enterprise Group.

“Great care must be taken when exposing infants or children to warm or hot water as they can be badly burned quickly and at shorter exposure times.”

And The Mayo Clinic recommends that parents of babies set the thermostat on their hot water heaters to a low temperature to prevent scalds.

“To prevent scalding, set the thermostat on your water heater to below 120 F (49 C). Always check the water temperature with your hand before bathing your baby. Aim for bath water around 100 F (38 C).”

As of this post, it is not clear if Michael Buble’s son is still in the hospital or if he has been released home.
