WWE Rumors: Daniel Bryan’s In-Ring Future May Never Continue

Daniel Bryan’s injury in 2014 was one that concerned a large number of people and many believed that he would never wrestle again.

Well, they were wrong and he came back and even won the Intercontinental Title at WrestleMania 31. Now, he’s out again with an injury and it really seems like his in-ring career may be no more.

While Bryan declined to have surgery on his neck last year and just let things heal naturally, it worked for a while. Now, as WrestleZone reported, he’s back on the shelf, but it may actually be something concussion related that could end his career for good.

The original problem came in a match with Sheamus on SmackDown before WrestleMania 31. It ended in Bryan being sent home early from the European tour and WWE said at the time that it was just a precautionary measure.

He went on to work other matches and won the Intercontinental Title which he had to relinquish. Near the end of May, Daniel Bryan said that he would be back and his time in the ring wasn’t over, but things could have already changed.

While WWE has done a lot to keep things under wraps and even keep Bryan in the public eye, things are very bad. Bryan being a judge on Tough Enough and appearing randomly on Raw are just so the public doesn’t realize the severity of the situation yet.

When Bret “Hit Man” Hart spoke with Sports Illustrated, he may have honestly let the cat out of the bag with how bad things are for Bryan. He stated that Bryan’s injury is like his own and the Dynamite Kid’s injury from so long ago.

“Daniel Bryan is finished. He’ll never wrestle again. I don’t think he knows it yet. I feel terrible about Daniel Bryan. For all intents and purposes, he had the exact same thing happen to him that happened to me after Bill Goldberg kicked me in the head. One day, you learn it’s over. Doctors tell you that you can’t wrestle and you’ll never wrestle again. I lost millions of dollars because of that. I pray that it’s not the same for Daniel Bryan.”

For those that don’t remember, Hart’s big-time injury came in a match with Bill Goldberg where he was kicked in the head. If Bryan continues to push himself though, it could do more than just end his career.

Daniel Bryan may still have a lot to offer in the wresting world and with WWE, but it likely won’t ever be in a ring again. If Bryan does return to the ring, he could be risking permanent damage to himself and could ultimately make things a lot worse.
