Bristol Palin Pregnant Again After Profitable Abstinence Campaign: Pregnancy Dad Revealed As Ex-Beau Dakota Meyer [Video]

Bristol Palin is pregnant without being married for the second time. Bristol’s pregnancy announcement came after the daughter of Sarah Palin has made a career out of urging abstinence, reported Vanity Fair.

A not-for-profit group that backs abstinence called the Candie’s Foundation paid Bristol $262,500 for her work. In addition, Bristol earned a place as an abstinence expert at a booking agency for speakers.

But while the soon-to-be single mom of two describes herself as in support of abstinence, Palin also said she doesn’t view it as realistic.

“I think abstinence is, like—like, the—I don’t know how to put it—like, the main—everyone should be abstinent or whatever, but it’s not realistic at all. Regardless of what I did personally, I just think that abstinence is the only… 100 percent foolproof way to prevent pregnancy.”

Reflecting on her first pregnancy, Bristol admitted that she now realizes she was too young.

“My life, my teenage years were cut completely short. I was on the fast track to adulthood just in an instant because of that one decision,” said Palin of how she felt when she learned she was pregnant. “And Tripp is just the love of my life. He is everything to me. But do I wish that he had a dad that was involved in his life? Absolutely. And do I wish that I had an education and a real career path? Absolutely.”

However, because of that commitment to supporting abstinence, Bristol said she recognizes that Palin supporters will feel disappointed when they learn about her second pregnancy, reported the Washington Post.

“I wanted you guys to be the first to know that I am pregnant. Honestly, I’ve been trying my hardest to keep my chin up on this one,” wrote Bristol on her blog.

Her son, Tripp, is 6, and his father is her former fiance Levi Johnston. Palin did not reveal the father of her second soon-to-be-born child.

“I know this has been, and will be, a huge disappointment to my family, to my close friends, and to many of you,” said Palin. “But please respect Tripp’s and my privacy during this time. I do not want any lectures and I do not want any sympathy.”

In her pledge to be abstinent after her first pregnancy, Bristol made a commitment not to have sex again until she was married, reported Entertainment Tonight.

“I’m not going to have sex until I’m married,” Palin vowed in 2009. “I can guarantee it.”

And although she’s not married to him after planning a wedding, Bristol’s baby daddy is war hero Dakota Meyer, according to Radar Online.

“The baby daddy is her ex-fiancé, Dakota Meyer,” said an insider.

Bristol abruptly broke off the wedding just a few days before.

“She told people that she broke up with Dakota partly because he was super controlling and made her move to Kentucky,” added the source.

But when Palin and Dakota were together, their romance beat The Bachelor, as the Inquisitr reported.

Sgt. Dakota Meyer is a United States Marine veteran, who received the Medal of Honor in 2011 for his dedicated duty in Afghanistan, including saving the lives of other Marines. That makes him the third living recipient of the highest honor since Vietnam.

The 26-year-old war hero chimed in with Bristol on social media to share their delight in their love, which they sealed with a kiss.

“Truly the luckiest girl in the world, cannot wait to marry this man!!!!” exclaimed Bristol in her post prior to the split followed by Palin’s pregnant announcement.

However, when Sarah Palin learned about the break-up, she declared her support, according to Extra.

“[Bristol is] very grounded, very practical in terms of making a lifelong commitment, she knows that hey, everything’s got to be worked out before you actually make that commitment,” said Palin.
