Kim Kardashian On Why She Keeps It Real On Instagram And Why She Doesn’t Drink

Kim Kardashian may have a coffee table book called Selfless, but the reality star revealed that she does take too many bikini selfies.

During her interview at the Cannes Lions Festival on Wednesday, June 24, the 34-year-old star admitted that she takes too many half-naked photos of herself on Instagram. Although Kardashian has regrets over her photos, she still loves the way that her Instagram page is set up — by including many photos of herself, of course.

“I have really stayed true to myself on Instagram — maybe too many bikini selfies for some people, but it’s what I want. I don’t have a strategy, and I don’t have a team doing it for me, I am not knocking anyone else that does that, but I don’t find it to be authentic, if you are talking about personal things and sharing personal photos, but you are having someone else do that for you.”

Kim doesn’t want to change her Instagram page. She says that she doesn’t want to use it to market products like other celebrities and reality stars often do. Even Kim’s little sister, Kylie Jenner, uses Instagram to market detox tea, jewelry, and accessories. Kim told Page Six that she will not go down that route anytime soon.

“You just have to be authentic. There’s nothing more than I can’t stand is when Instagram becomes very promotional. I know a lot of my brands get frustrated that I don’t promote as much as they would like, but I only do it if it’s authentic, if I genuinely love it. And I also say that my Instagram is off limits in my business contracts.”

She was in Cannes to talk to the ad and creative worlds about her successful mobile game, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood. Kim’s game has sold millions since its debut in June, 2014. With new installments and new versions, it doesn’t look like the game is slowing down anytime soon.

Kim Kardashian also revealed one of the reasons why she doesn’t drink. It’s all because an intoxicated naked women scared the pregnant star by trying to break into her hotel room where she stayed at in the South of France.

“There was a woman knocking on a hormonal pregnant woman’s door, namely me, at 4 in the morning – not knocking but banging and kicking, and I couldn’t go back to sleep afterwards, and she was naked. So I screamed profanities at her and told her to put some clothes on and get off my door, but she kept using her Amex as the key. She had no idea it was my room.”

The famous Kardashian sister even tweeted the incident to her fans. In her tweet, she joked, “I took a fun video of her as a reminder of why I never tolerated drinking 2 much! Slob kabob! I won’t post it but it’s funny!”

That’s Kim’s reason for not drinking, although it’s been known that she doesn’t like to drink alcohol. She also has another reason not to drink, since she’s currently pregnant with her second child.
