WWE News: Natalya Says She’s The ‘Ugly Duckling’ Of Diva’s Division, Talks ‘Total Divas’
WWE diva Natalya (Nattie Neidhart) recently took part in an interview with TooFab.com. During the interview, Natalya discussed her role in the WWE’s diva division, her part on the E! Network’s Total Divas, the Bella twins, and much more. Natalya also discussed being prepared to wrestle at a high level for WWE, as well as addressing problems she has with WWE divas who don’t come prepared.
A few of the more interesting highlights from Natalya’s interview with TooFab.com are posted below.
Natalya discusses Total Divas and her relationship with the Bella twins. Season 3 of Total Divas ended with both Brie and Nikki Bella having a hard time deciding whether they wanted to stay with WWE and sign a new contract or not.
“I started WWE with the twins, they’re two of my closest friends. I feel like, if they leave, I’ll be losing two friends. It’s like a sisterhood – we’re on the road together all the time. So, if the twins left, it would feel like something’s missing.”
Natalya on divas delivering in the ring for WWE.
“You have to come to work to deliver. That’s something that you’re going to watch this season. I’m not going to name names – I have class and I don’t believe in mud-slinging – but talk is cheap… When the bell rings, I promise you that I will deliver. My work has proven that.”
“There are a few Divas in our division that I want to see deliver. When the bell rings, I want to see them go, I don’t want to hear about it, I don’t want to hear about their coaches, I don’t want to hear about any of it – I just want to see you deliver. In order to be a Diva in the WWE, you actually have to come to work. You have to do our schedule. Part of being a Diva is being on the road 300 days a year. It’s the high highs and the low lows, not just getting up for photo shoots and posting on Instagram.”
Natalya on her spot with WWE.
“I’ve always sort of been the ugly duckling. I don’t mean that in a malicious or negative way – I’ve just never been the pick. I’ve never been the chosen one or their go-to girl. Even when I was brand new at WWE, I was never the shiny new toy.”
