Jessa Duggar recently shared a special Father’s Day message for husband Ben Seewald, and a good chunk of the 19 Kids and Counting star’s Instagram post is about how Ben is pushing his wife to stay in shape and eat right during her pregnancy.
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald’s baby won’t arrive until November 1, but Jessa is already dropping hints about what kind of dad Ben will be. If he treats his child the same way he treats Jessa, he’ll probably be a pushy dad with one fit kid. In an Instagram post about how Ben is being a great parent to their “preborn” baby, Jessa praises her husband for letting her cheat on her pregnancy diet.
“You’re my #1 cheerleader when it comes to making good food choices, but you also understand when the baby ‘needs’ a late-night bowl of cookies & cream ice cream!” Jessa Duggar wrote.
She also referenced her pregnancy workouts in the Father’s Day message.
“Thanks for all the back rubs, breakfast in bed, and for encouraging me to stick with those pregnancy workouts!”
At least she’s getting back rubs after busting her butt at the gym. You can read Jessa Duggar’s Father’s Day message in its entirety below.
This isn’t the first time Jessa has mentioned that Ben is pushing her to exercise and eat right during her pregnancy. Shortly after she made her big baby announcement, Jessa told People that one of the first things Ben said to her was, “What does it mean for your workouts? Let’s adjust them for pregnancy.”
“I want to gain a little less weight and not stress out about it,” Jessa said.
Jessa Duggar hasn’t had a child before, so her “less weight” comment wasn’t in reference to a previous pregnancy. Perhaps she was nicely trying to say that she wants to gain less weight than Jill Duggar — Jill gave birth to a baby shortly before Jessa announced that she was pregnant, so Jessa probably can’t help but compare her pregnancy body to her sister’s.
Ben Seewald is probably just concerned about the health and well-being of his wife and child, but hopefully he isn’t making Jessa Duggar feel insecure by trying to ensure that she doesn’t pack on the pounds. As the Inquisitr previously reported, Jessa has revealed that she has slight weight issues, and her body is something that she and Ben actually argue about.
Do you think it’s bizarre that Jessa Duggar mentioned diets and workouts in her Father’s Day post? Is it a sign that the 19 Kids and Counting star is stressing out about her figure way too much?
