Kaitlyn Bristowe Celebrates 30th Birthday In Vancouver As ‘Bachelorette’ Drama Continues

When it was revealed at the start of the season that Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe slept with a contestant, she emphasized that she was a 30-year-old woman for whom intimacy was an important part of a relationship. Bristowe officially turned 30 over the weekend and celebrated with close friends in her hometown of Vancouver.

Bristowe posted Instagram pictures of herself and friends on the patio at the Hotel Georgia in Vancouver. In her caption, Bristowe spoke sweetly about those in her life who’ve provided support.

“Get ready for soft Kaitlyn…. I think going through what I have, makes me realize how strong of a person I am, and a big part of who I am, is how I was raised, the family I have, and the people I surrounded myself with. I could feel beaten down, and disliked right now, but I feel fortunate, lucky, and extremely happy for everything I have. Thank you everyone who came out last night, and to everyone in my life who supports me. Turning 30 is exciting. ALOT to look forward to.”

Kaitlyn Bristowe of 'The Bachelorette' celebrates birthday

The controversial Bachelorette, who has endured social media criticism all season, got some love from other members of the Bachelor family as she entered her 30s.

Bachelorette producer Elan Gale, who recently penned a blog post aimed at social media haters and online trolls, also gifted Bristowe with some sugary treats.

Kaitlyn is listed in the Bachelorette universe as being from Vancouver, but she’s lived in a lot of different places. During Chris Soules’ season of The Bachelor, she said she grew up in Leduc, Alberta. Her hometown date with Soules took place in Arizona, where her mother lives. Earlier this season, Bristowe explained to Ben H. that her bird tattoo was because she’s a bit of a globetrotter — even having lived in Germany — and her bird always knows how to fly home.

The Bachelorette airs Monday nights on ABC.
