Google Nexus Rumors State Iris Scanner And More Coming To Nexus 5

The Google Nexus 5 is expected to have an iris scanner and more, according to recent rumors surrounding the device. It is difficult to know whether the rumors are true, considering how closed-lipped Google is when it comes to new devices. There are various wanted and hoped-for features by fans, and some reports show that they may be possible.

The fingerprint scanner is one of the most widely expected features on the new Google Nexus phone. Apple has already released iPhones with it, so its competitor needs to follow. However, it looks as though Google will go a step further and introduce an iris scanner instead. This is expected to come to the LG device, not the rumored Huawei device.

With the addition of this new feature, Yibada reports that the device would not be released until next year. The technology will take time to perfect. The report continues to state that the idea of an iris scanner has been around for some time. LG planned to use it in 2014 along with its eye-reading technology.

While more rumors about the LG device have surfaced, there is still little known about the 5.7-inch Google Nexus device made by Huawei. So far, it is expected to be powered with the quad-core Snapdragon 810 chipset. According to PC Advisor, on June 17, Huawei did confirm that it had a role in the manufacturing of the new device.

The question now is when the devices will be released, along with the expected specifications. Google is always tight-lipped on release dates and tends to stay away from its competitors’ release dates. It increases the number of sales, as there are fewer devices released at the same time. Many customers are willing to hold out on purchasing a device, too, if they know that something is going to make an appearance in the form of a Nexus.

The latest device from the company was released towards the end of last year. That means this new rumored device is expected towards the end of 2015. There are debates over price, but with two different sizes, it is possible that there will be one device built to be affordable for the masses and one for those who want to use a phone for business.

Google is definitely going to need to think of new names. There is already a Google Nexus 5 on the market, and the only name available is Nexus 8, which was expected to be used for a tablet. There is the possibility that a new string of names will be released, especially since there are two different phones expected, according to the Google Nexus rumors.
