Dwayne Johnson Sideswipes Truck, Shares ‘Must-See’ Photo On Instagram, And Fans Love It [Photos]

There’s some things only Dwayne Johnson, also known as “The Rock,” can get away with. When the actor side swiped a truck — owned by fan — and shared the incident on Instagram, fans asked if he could hit their trucks, too.

As previously reported by the Inquisitr, Johnson was headed to work on his new film, Central Intelligence, which is filming in Wakefield, Massachusetts, when Johnson, who admits he wasn’t paying great attention and was having a “one man party in [his] truck,” accidentally hit another vehicle. Dwayne “flipped a U-turn and drove back” to the scene of the accident.

Luckily for Dwayne, the truck belonged to a fan, who requested snap a pic with the buff movie star. Johnson shared the incident on Instagram, uploading the now-famous photo of The Rock posed with the truck owner, reports the New York Daily News.

“He stared at me again, cocked his head sideways and said … ‘Uhhh … Are you The Rock?’ I said ‘Yup’. He broke out into a huge smile and said ‘Wow, this is gonna be an awesome story!… I started belly laughing at that, then he started laughing and before you know it we’re both standing in the middle of the street pointing to his mirror and laughing like two ol’ crazy buddies.

“Want to thank Mr. Audie Bridges of Wakefield, Mass. for being so cool about the whole thing, Life is funny cause you never know who you’re gonna run into… and sure as hell never know who’s truck you’re gonna sideswipe while driving to work.”

Apparently, Johnson offered to pay for damages, but Mr. Bridges refused to accept any compensation other than the famous pic, according to Fox News.

Dwayne’s fans reacted to his Instagram photo in ways only Dwayne Johnson can summon. In just 48 hours, Dwayne’s post garnered over 6,300 comments, and nearly 500,000 likes.

“@TheRock can sideswipe my car any time he wants and all I will ask in return is a long, lingering bear hug” tweeted one female fan to Dwayne Johnson’s Twitter account, while another posted on Facebook, “Makes me more of a Rock fan!”

“I wish the Rock would hit my car!” responded another fan to Johnson’s Instagram gossip via Twitter.

While it’s still not clear whether Dwayne Johnson will get his insurance to pay for the damage to Mr. Bridge’s truck, it is certainly clear to fans that Dwayne is a great guy.
