Kaitlyn Bristowe Worst ‘Bachelorette’ Ever? ‘America Is Not Amused, Kaitlyn Is A Trainwreck’

Is Kaitlyn Bristowe the worst Bachelorette in the history of the show? Judging from the tweets during last night’s episode, fans of ABC’s long-running reality show seem to think so. Many viewers feel that the network made a mistake picking Kaitlyn over Britt Nilsson, but the negative conversation about the 29-year-old dance instructor and her suitors is great for ratings.

Since the premiere, many fans have taken to Twitter to express their disappointment about Kaitlyn, about her choice to bring Nick back, and rumors that she slept with three of her guys before hometown dates have fueled an onslaught of negativity about her.

Of course, there is always negative chatter about the lead each season, but Kaitlyn’s fan base has been decreasing since she decided to bring Nick on the show. Most of the conversation that takes place between Kaitlyn and her guys centers around Andi Dorfman’s ex. Even frontrunner Shawn Booth expressed his discontent after staying drama-free for the first few episodes.

When contestant Ian Thomson called Kaitlyn out for being a “surface-level person” who is “here to make out with a bunch of dudes on TV,” the reaction on Twitter was mixed. Surprisingly, many fans supported Ian’s straightforward conversation (video below), although it was edited to make him out to be more arrogant than Bentley Williams on Ashley Hebert’s season of the Bachelorette.

[Spoilers ahead]

According to Reality Steve, this season won’t have a happy ending for Kaitlyn’s final two guys and the Bachelorette herself. Spoilers indicate that Nick will propose and get rejected, and Shawn will be sent on his merry way (to become the next Bachelor?) without the final rose.

Whether or not the guys were a poor match for Kaitlyn Bristowe, or if she just came on the show to have fun, is a debate that will continue on Twitter until the show ends on July 27. A week after she becomes yesterday’s news, the trash-talking will begin again — Bachelor in Paradise returns on August 2 and may end up being more of a train wreck than this season of the Bachelorette.
