Jennifer Lopez Buys Casper Smart a Car

Ah, the perks of dating international pop stars with loads of money can be pretty sweet- backup dancer Casper Smart, who is dating American Idol and Q’Viva host Jennifer Lopez, for instance, was gifted a car by his girl.

The 42-year-old songstress (who is set to reunite on stage with ex-husband and baby daddy Marc Anthony in May for the Q’Viva finale) was out with friends to celebrate her boy toy’s 25th birthday. The “intimate dinner party” took place Friday, and during the festivities, Lopez reportedly gave Smart a brand-new, customized Dodge Ram.

People magazine broke the story, referring to an unnamed source and saying:

“Jennifer had planned a fun day to celebrate Casper’s birthday,” a source tells PEOPLE. And the day began with a four-wheeled birthday present: a customized white Dodge Ram truck… Lopez “knew that Casper really wanted a truck, and Casper was very excited about the generous gift,” says the source.

Lopez also acknowledged Smart’s birthday publicly on Twitter, sending two tweets to mark the dancer’s special day and saying:

Apparently, the birthday boy received his extravagant gift from Lopez before the festivities at Cecconi’s in West Hollywood occurred. The source also tells people:

“Casper was so excited about his new truck that he decided to drive it to dinner… She was smiling about Casper’s excitement.”

Before the big night out, Smart and Lopez spent the day shopping and lunching in Beverly Hills.
