Danica Patrick’s Wreck Video Shows 2015 Crash, NASCAR Drivers Curse Her History Of Crashing

Coming straight from NASCAR’s Ponoco Raceway, Danica Patrick’s wreck video shows the crash where she slams into a wall while coming out of turn No. 3. While the female NASCAR driver regrets wrecking their day, a video compilation shows what some of the guys really think about her driving.

In a related report by the Inquisitr, Danica Patrick’s crash can’t take away the fact that she broke the record for the most top ten NASCAR finishes for a woman driver. Although she won the vote of fans, Patrick still managed to lose her GoDaddy sponsorship, making some wonder what her future in NASCAR will entail.

The race at Pocono Raceway was going well for Patrick and, at one point, she was placing in sixth. With 26 laps to go, she was running in 11th place after a restart, and lap number 134 was going well until she had a contact with Kasey Kahne.

Danica Patrick’s wreck was not caused by the initial contact, nor did her No. 10 SHR Chevrolet suffer much damage, but as she drove down the frontstretch, her right rear tire flew apart. Patrick lost control and crashed into the outside wall. Danica’s crash did not wreck her vehicle entirely, so she drove back to the pit crew.

“I was trying the best I could to get back into the top-10, and the car just hopped the wall,” Patrick said, according to Fox Sports. “We were having a great race, and I hate that wrecked our day.”

Unfortunately, the crash did drop her all the way down to 33rd place. Her troubles were just beginning, since in the closing laps, another tire blew out and she was sent sliding off turn three. Despite the mishap, she was able to maintain control of the vehicle and did not cause any further contacts with other vehicles, which allowed the race to remain under green flag conditions.

By time the checkered flag flew, Danica had dropped all the way down to the 37th spot. While not exactly a cause for celebration, Patrick did not place in last since there were 43 drivers at Ponoco Raceway that day.

Danica Patrick’s crash history has been caught on video, but so have the nasty comments by other NASCAR drivers.

Richard Petty famously criticized Patrick in 2014, and Clint Bowyer is heard saying, “First thing we got do is get away from this lunatic behind us.” Greg Bible jokes, “Somebody needs to tell Danica she can go straight forward.” There was even a time when Danica wrecked her own boyfriend and everyone was talking about the forthcoming lover’s quarrel that might end up on TMZ.
