Homeless Child Predator On The Run After Series Of Break-Ins
A presumed homeless child predator has been reported going from house to house in a series of break-ins. The crazy part is what he decides to do once inside.
On June 2, 2015, around 11:30 p.m., authorities were contacted after a man had broken into a family’s home, as reports Gold Coast Bulletin. Possibly spooked from the family’s awareness, the predator left the scene. However, he wasn’t finished.
Around 12:30 a.m., approximately a half-mile away, he silently invaded another home — the man’s second reported break-in of the night. This time, he actually assaulted a 15-year-old boy. The child predator then succeeded to his next victim’s home.
According to the same source, this time, the predator’s victim was a 12-year-old girl. It happened around 2 a.m. Three break-ins were reported during the same night, all within three hours.
Kingscliff law enforcement was on alert at this point.
They were told that the child predator was touching his victims as they slept. The 12-year-girl said that she woke up to the man standing over her.
The child’s mother spoke with the news medium about the predator incident.
“I want him caught, I want retribution but I do pity him if it’s a local who gets him instead of the police. We should be able to feel safe in our homes — our children should be able to feel safe in their homes.
I have hardly slept but my daughter is doing all right, which is the main thing — she is a trooper. It’s hard to know how to feel but I am angry and the things I want to say about this guy aren’t really printable. It’s just good that nothing actually happened and my daughter wasn’t hurt.”
Tweed Head police authorities believe that the predator broke into these houses from doors or windows that were already opened. They’ve encouraged those within the community to ensure they keep all entries locked and secured.
A woman who was close to one of the break-in residences told the news source that the community wants revenge on the suspect. She said,
“This is a small coastal town and everyone knows everyone. The fact that someone thinks they can do this to our children and get away with it, they have another thing coming. We have all pulled together to support the families involved — they are staying at friends’ houses while they deal with what has happened.”
From the descriptions of the victim’s parents, police have illustrated the man as “tall, thin, 25-30 years of age, 180-185cm tall, with bushy eyebrows and a strong body odor.”
None of the families’ names were revealed due to safety reasons.
