Chris Pratt Fat Loss, Diet Secrets, Workout Routines, And Former Homeless State Revealed [Video]

Chris Pratt is a fascinating man. Typing Pratt’s name into Google, one of the first suggestions coupled with Chris’ name is the word “fat” accompanying the celebrity’s moniker. That’s because Pratt admitted that he once weighed nearly 300 pounds, and as such, Chris shared his fat loss and exercise secrets with Men’s Health.

First off, Pratt blames his weight gain on falling in love with his wife, the popular actress Anna Faris. Chris told the publication that Faris is the type of woman who knows that the way to a man’s heart is via his stomach, and she loved feeding Pratt. Even though Anna only ate bits of her meals to keep her body fat in check, Chris downed all of his wine and the rest of the meals, causing his body fat percentage to creep upward.

As reported by People, the 35-year-old Pratt also blamed his career for his weight gain, stating that it became a game to see how much fat he could pack onto his body for his role in Parks and Recreation. Chris would drop the weight for some roles and then let the fat creep back on for others, but he decided once and for all that he’d never be fat again.

“I’d gone back and forth, lost weight for Moneyball, got fat again, then trimmed down for Zero Dark Thirty, then gained it all back again for Andy. That’s when I saw Zero Dark Thirty and right after walking out I was like, ‘I’m going to get in shape and I’m never going to be fat again.'”

As far as Pratt’s weight loss and workout secrets, he was able to lose approximately 35 pounds for Moneyball in 2011 by running, downing protein, and eating roughage like salad greens.

“I ran five or six miles a day. I ate leafy green salads and protein shakes. I cut out all alcohol.”

More of Pratt’s full body workouts and 60-pound weight loss has been featured on Men’s Health in the past.

The fact that Pratt was once homeless is part of the latest revelations about the movie star that’s being uncovered via the Daily Mail.

Pratt also shared a photo of himself from years ago via Twitter, which shows Chris as a curly-haired aspiring actor with plenty of chest showing. Discovered by actress Rae Dawn Chong, Pratt looks quite a bit different in the throwback Twitter pic than he does on the cover of Men’s Health.
