On June 11, The Sims 4 will update with a brand new world for players to manage. The new world is called Newcrest and is made up of three neighborhoods for players to build upon. The Sims 4 developers announced the addition of Newcrest to the game via the franchise's official Twitter account notifying players that new, free content was coming soon.
Players looking for a new view or those that need somewhere to house the many Sims they create will benefit from Newcrest. While Oasis Springs is a desert and Willow Creek is a hilly garden area, Newcrest is nestled within a city-like backdrop on one side. The other side of Newcrest is more rural and there is even a river running through the town. With another 15 empty lots, players will not have to evict iconic families like the Goths to make room for new or downloaded Sims.
Players can start planning for the new lots found in The Sims 4's Newcrest now. The official site lists exact lot sizes found in Newcrest and details are separated by neighborhood. When Newcrest releases for free on June 11, players will be able to place whatever type of building they choose on the 15 lots.
"The World of Newcrest will be joining Willow Creek and Oasis Springs next Thursday! Everyone playing The Sims 4 will be able to start building right away in Newcrest, a completely empty world ready to be settled by your Sims."
The permanent addition of Newcrest to The Sims 4 is a welcome one. The base game contains two worlds with each with seven neighborhoods. Players could have previously added a new standalone neighborhood with the Get to Work expansion, or gained access to two other neighborhoods with The Sims 4 game pack "Outdoor Retreat."
Other pieces of downloadable content are also available for The Sims 4. In fact, as the Inquisitr reported, a new stuff pack is out now. The new "Luxury Party Stuff" contains new clothes, accessories, and buy mode items to throw the perfect, fancy party. Unlike expansion packs or game packs, a stuff pack contains only items with a few objects with which Sims can interact rather than completely changing gameplay.
As stated, Newcrest will be free for all players of The Sims 4. Players will need an internet connection to download the new content, of course.
Will you be moving any Sims to Newcrest?
