Carrie Underwood has a post-baby body that’s earning awe. The country singer showed off her success in restoring her pre-baby body in a Calia fitness line campaign, reported People.
Underwood’s new line of exercise attire, called “Calia by Carrie Underwood,” provided her with the opportunity to flaunt her fabulous figure.
But Carrie admitted that her post baby life has its challenges when it comes to her own exercise time.
“Having a baby definitely changes your routine, and I have to work around his schedule,” said Underwood.
Looking forward to celebrating their fifth anniversary in July, Carrie and husband Mike Fisher, who plays for the Nashville Predators, welcomed their son, Isaiah Michael, in February.
“Whenever he goes to sleep, I do the things I need to do for myself and make workouts happen when they can,” explained the 32-year-old singer.
As far as taking time off after the baby was born? Carrie was too busy to relax, she admitted. But she loves the creativity involved in Calia.
“I really haven’t taken that much time ‘off’ because there are always things to do. It’s been really nice to be able to focus my attention on Isaiah and our family. It’s been really good! But it’s been really nice as well to be creative, working on music, working on Calia. Making clothing that every woman can wear and enjoy makes me feel good.”
As for her music career, Underwood is set to croon June 9 at the Grand Ole Opry. In addition, she will appear at the CMT Music Awards on June 10, followed by the CMA MusicFest on June 13.
In addition to her fondness for fitness, Carrie is devoted to her vegan diet, as the Inquisitr reported.
Underwood temporarily shifted to a vegetarian diet during her pregnancy before going back to her plant-based plan.
“I have been vegetarian for about 10 years now,” she said at the time. “With pregnancy, I am definitely going more on the vegetarian side, but as soon as I am not pregnant anymore I will go back to being vegan.”
Carrie became a vegan when she admired a friend who had chosen that lifestyle, reported Self.
“After seeing a friend who looked amazing and had recently gone vegan, I thought, ‘What’s holding me back?’ Now I’m 95 percent vegan,” Underwood revealed.
And she emphasizes that she also focuses on clean eating.
“My veganism is based on a concern about where my food is coming from. In my perfect world, I’d have webcams wherever food is processed so I’d know how clean it is.”
Before a red carpet event, Carrie focuses on cardio rather than strength-training.
“I do more cardio and fewer weights than usual. Although strength training is important, I don’t want to look too muscular on the red carpet,” she explained.
Carrie’s appearance at the CMT Music Awards will mark her first post-baby live broadcast, reported Rolling Stone.
In addition to Underwood, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Kenny Chesney, and Lady Antebellum will perform. Carrie has received five nominations in three categories, so she’ll actually compete with herself for the prestigious awards.
