When swimsuit model Chrissy Teigen stepped out at the 2015 CFDA Awards on Monday, she was purposely showing ample skin. But for one oops of a moment, the dress she was working had a split like a Energizer battery — it kept going and going. But Teigen handled the wardrobe malfunction with the simplicity she’s known for, citing a Fox News Entertainment report.
Chrissy, sans her husband, John Legend, was accompanied by shoe aficionado Stuart Weitzman. The model arrived at the Council of Fashion Designers of America gala looking like a snowy-white princess. Teigen slipped into a powdery ruffle Solace London gown that showed off her soft shoulders.

The dress also featured a daring slit that malfunctioned behind-the-scenes. But that didn’t stop the cameras from catching Chrissy Teigen’s wardrobe oops. In a flash, the enchanting Lip Sync Battle color commentary hostess with the mostest realized her split had pulled a San Andreas number on her.

Considering she’s known to be a proud supporter of the commando movement, she’s lucky a camera was not at the ready to show off more than she could “bare.” Instead, the photo circulating now only shows Teigen saving herself from a NSFW wardrobe catastrophe.
It’s rumored that some celebs long for the occasional dress malfunction. However, there is a growing body of evidence that suggests that some fashion oops are manufactured to look like an accident. In Chrissy’s photo, arguably, she looks genuinely taken off guard. And as expected, she took to Instagram to add some narrative to the pic destined for the internet. She even cleared up the “nipple-gate” rumors.

Teigen’s dress faux-pas comes on the heels of her photo shoot with DuJour magazine. The supermodel and her husband graced the recent issue of the mag. On the inside, the star-studded couple was part of a theme, titled, “The Ballad of John and Chrissy.” It featured Teigen and Legend in some island-inspired pictures.
But the one that took top honors was the social media queen posing totally nude. In other words, she left it all out there in the surf — and had no qualms about it. So, a little oops of a moment with that killer dress was nothing for Teigen — wardrobe malfunctions come with the territory in Hollywood nowadays. In fact, it’s quite odd when there’s a dry spell when someone is not “spilling,” “flashing” or “nip-slipping,” right?
