And while everyone thought Mortal Kombat couldn’t get any bloodier, Mortal Kombat X creates an entrance for Tanya—and boy, does she know how to do a fatality.
Mortal Kombat X fans have been waiting since the Tanya DLC was announced, and the day is finally here to celebrate her entrance with a “heartfelt” fatality. Didn’t get that pun? Watch the official Mortal Kombat X Tanya teaser below.
Mortal Kombat X players are excited to try out Tanya’s heartless fatality, one of the goriest and most insane NSFW fatalities for the title. A lot of critics and Mortal Kombat X players have been expressing different opinions about her fatality but one thing is certain—that is some serious disregard for bone integrity.
But apart from Tanya’s finisher move, her fighting styles—Dragon Naginata and Pyromancer—are interesting styles to try out, as well. An extremely versatile Mortal Kombat X character, not overpowering but could pull of some serious combos if done right, Tanya could be one of the most interesting characters to try out in the bunch. Although she couldn’t really be pinpointed as one of the strongest characters in Mortal Kombat X, Twinfinite would agree that Tanya could provide strategic options for Mortal Kombat X players with her teleportation abilities and agility combined.
Tanya first appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 and has since had a total of five appearances throughout the franchise.
Xbox One and PlayStation 4 users who purchased the Kombat Pack could already access the Tanya DLC for Mortal Kombat X at this moment. Those, however, who did not pre-purchase the Kombat Pack and would want to purchase Tanya separately for Mortal Kombat X would have to wait a few more days. Tanya will be sold separately for other Mortal Kombat X players by June 9 for $4.99.
There have been reported delays with the Tanya DLC for PlayStation 4, but iDigitalTimes reports that she is already up for download as of this writing.
Last Monday, game developers were showing off Tanya and her nimble skills on a live stream on Twitch. Those who are still undecided about purchasing her character for Mortal Kombat X could have a look at some of the highlights from the live stream.
Tanya is the second DLC character to be put up for download for Mortal Kombat X, almost a month after Jason Voorhees made quite an interesting appearance during last May’s DLC. Predator and Tremor are yet to come, but a lot of Mortal Kombat X players are already excited for their upcoming release.
